Biography
Periša is an international development practitioner with expertise in e-learning and ICT4D. In his capacity as Director of Strategic Initiatives at Worldreader, he is responsible for the execution of a digital integration strategy, provision of programmatic technical assistance, and management of strategic partnerships.
In his Worldreader experience over the years, Periša has participated in the establishment and development of strategic partnerships with OEMs, MNOs, and software companies, such as Nokia, Microsoft, Orange, Samsung, Internet.org, with the goal of providing millions of people with access to books and reading materials. He was a part of the research team that worked alongside UNESCO, UN University, and Nokia to publish a report on mobile reading in developing countries, "Reading in the Mobile Era". He developed the digital scaling strategies of projects seeking to foster gender equality and social-emotional learning among young women and men in Kenya and Ghana. Periša also led the digital training efforts of projects seeking to improve early childhood developmental outcomes through the digital engagement of parents and caregivers in low-income and refugee settings in India and Jordan.
Currently, Periša is leading Worldreader's Technical Assistance Team tasked with consolidating and disseminating best practices on the design, adoption, and scaling of digital learning solutions.
