Career Skills Workshops

During the Master's Degree, a series of seminars are offered to provide students with the knowledge, abilities and competences that facilitate their job placement. Beyond academic knowledge, future professionals of international relations must acquire certain skills in oratory, protocol, negotiation techniques or project management in order to strengthen their professional profile. These workshops also aim to give students a wider view of the possible entries in the labour market, from the calls for professional internships in international organizations, the entrance process for the diplomatic corps, the world of international communication or the management of companies that work in countries in conflict.

On the one hand, professionals experts in human resources, communication or project management, among other topics, will give students tools for the improvement of their professional profile as preparation techniques for job interviews, negotiation skills and improvement of public speaking competences. On the other hand, diplomats, project managers and practitioners will explain, based on their professional experience, how is to work in NGOs and development aid, human rights activism or advising in foreign policy at governmental level.

Attendance at a minimum of two seminars is mandatory to participate in the IBEI Internship Programme.
