The Research Master's in International Studies programme, taught in English, is tailored for individuals considering a future professional career as an analyst of international issues, either for the private or public domain, but also for those primarily interested in pursuing an academic career.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in the field of Social Sciences, in particular International Relations, Political Sciences, Sociology, Economics or equivalent.

The IBEI Career Development Service facilitates the access of graduates to internships in both public and private organisations.

The Institute is part of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra’s Campus of International Excellence programme. IBEI is also an associate member of APSIA, the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs. The Institute is a centre of academic excellence specialising in the field of International Relations and related disciplines. 

The Research Master's in International Studies offers a total of 25 places.
