Entry requirements

Academic background

Applicants are required to have a good undergraduate degree in the field of social sciences (political sciences, international relations, economics, law or equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher education either in Spain or abroad. If the country where you pursued your undergraduate degree is not on the list of the minimum grade requirements, please contact the Admissions Office (admissions@ibei.org) for more information.

If you are applying before having completed your undergraduate degree, you will need to provide us with a signed letter stating that you will be graduating before mid-September 2020.

Proof of English language proficiency:

You are required to provide evidence of your English language skills. IBEI accepts the following language certificates:

  • TOEFL: 90 iBT or 550 paper-based (IBEI code: 6567)
  • IELTS: 6.5 or more
  • Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced CAE or C2 Proficiency CPE.
    The English exams are valid for two years.

A certificate is not required if you are a native English speaker or you completed your undergraduate degree in English.
