Biography

Xinyuan Dai is Professor of Political Science at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (USA). She received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. She is the author of International Institutions and National Policies (Cambridge University Press, 2007). Her work has been published or is forthcoming in leading journals, including American Political Science Review, World Politics, International Organization, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and International Studies Quarterly. Some of her recent work won Best Paper Award from American Political Science Association Human Rights Section. At IBEI, she conducts research on international institutional order, with one focus on states’ commitment to international treaties and another on China in global governance.
