Richard Mahoney is Professor and was Director of SPIA at the North Carolina State University from 2012-2018. Previously, he was Director and Professor of the Baker Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies. He was Secretary of State in Arizona, from 1991 to 1995. His research focuses on the US national policy security, US presidential history, Latin America trade, commerce and finance, and the managing modeling sub-national illicit networks.
