Paula Redondo Alvarez-Palencia is a Programme Officer for Russia and Central Asia at NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division, focusing on outreach to Russian-speaking audiences. Prior to that, she worked as Communications Advisor to the EU Special Representative for Human Rights and as Policy Advisor at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, where she covered human rights, migration and multilateral issues. Ms. Redondo worked previously for Freedom House, a DC-based human rights NGO, and as Spokesperson for the OSCE Mission to Moldova in Chisinau, covering media relations, public outreach and projects related to freedom of the press.

Ms. Redondo holds a M.A. in European Studies from the College of Europe and a M.A. in Russian and Eastern European Studies from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. In addition to Spanish, she is fluent in English, Russian, French and Italian.
