This course is intended to deepen students’ knowledge of qualitative research. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the main methods used in qualitative analysis (case study approaches, process tracing, content analysis, discourse analysis). Students will learn about the different types of qualitative research and their underlying assumptions, as well as acquire hands on experience with using qualitative research methods techniques.

Assessment

The final grade is the sum of the following criteria:

• Final Essay: 60%
• 5 Reading Reports and student presentation in class (Sessions 3-7): 40%
