Biography

Lior joins IBEI as a visiting researcher fellow. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Barcelona (conferred in 2020). During his stay at IBEI, he participates in the Globalization and Public Policy Research Cluster and investigates the impact of the ECB's asset purchases on inequality. His research focuses on the effect of the ECB, FOMC, and BoJ's unconventional monetary policies on financial markets and firms' behavior. His other research interests include finance and macroeconomics. In addition, he has been analyzing financial markets since 2010 in financial media outlets.
