Biography

Leonardo Weller is an associate professor at the Sao Paulo School of Economics (Fundação Getulio Vargas). A PhD in Economic History from the LSE, Weller had been a Newton Fellow, involved in a project financed by the British Academy and held at UCL from 2017 to 2022. His main research topics are the political economy of sovereign debt and inequality. Weller has published a book by Palgrave Macmillian and articles in Explorations in Economic History, The Journal of Economic History, Economic History Review, World Economy, Journal of Latin American Studies, Comparative Politics, Capitalism, and Enterprise and Society.
