Biography

Iker Uriarte is a PhD candidate in the program of Political and Social Sciences at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and predoc research fellow in the framework of the REPGOV project. He was born in Mexico but raised in the Basque Country, Spain. He holds a degree in sociology from the University of Salamanca and a master degree in political and electoral analysis from the University Carlos III - Juan March Institute. His research focuses on the relationship between democratic institutions and politically contested group identities in divided societies.
