IBEI launches new Master’s in International Development degree programme

As of 16 November 2015, IBEI welcomes applications for the new Master’s Degree in International Development, a one-year, interdisciplinary programme intended to educate future professionals in the area of development from a global perspective. It aims to provide students with a comprehensive set of analytical skills, robust training in research methods, and a thorough understanding of key issues such as global governance and development, economic growth and sustainability, conflict over limited resources, new emerging powers and social movements, and ongoing trends in inequalities in living standards.

This advanced Master’s programme is tailored for individuals considering a high-level career in government, private sector or non-governmental international organizations, or those wishing to pursue an academic career. Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in political sciences, international relations, economics or equivalent.

The course syllabus presents an innovative structure, stimulating continuous learning, with higly-qualified IBEI teaching staff as well as associate faculty from the three universities that jointly offer the degree –the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra-, as well as to other major international academic institutions. There are also conferences, debates and presentations of recent research from guest researchers and high-profile, experienced professionals.
