IBEI and ESADEgeo: An IBEI Alumna tutoring an IBEI student

The most irrefutable evidence of the success of the IBEI Master’s programs is the career path of our alumni. IBEI is currently expanding its Professional Internship Programme in order to acquaint students with the tasks and challenges involved in the daily practices of organisations and professionals in our areas of expertise. To provide internship placements for current students can become a good opportunity for IBEI alumni to help turn IBEI into one of the major graduate schools of international studies.

Marie Vandendriessche, a Senior Researcher at ESADEgeo and IBEI alumna (MIR 2009-2010), became the tutor of Arya Fazilat (MIS 2015-2017) in his internship as research assistant at ESADEgeo between March and December 2017. Arya’s main tasks were related to the geopolitics of energy. They included the production of a policy paper on the energy landscape in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on natural gas, and the production of a bi-weekly newsletter of the latest developments and research on energy.

The ESADEgeo Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics was established in 2010 with the vision to “become the benchmark, among Business Schools, for studying globalization and organizations”. The Center performs research on economic globalization and its interactions with geopolitics and global governance. In doing so, it endeavors to create knowledge on the links between business, economic and social leadership, social realities, and global governance. In its research on global governance in particular, ESADEgeo aims to analyze how governance mechanisms work, why they emerge, and how they are sustained to reach their maximum effectiveness.
