Biography

Dominique Schmid is a PhD candidate in the Political and Social Science programme at UPF. Her Thesis focuses on the impact of EU climate change policies on “green grabbing” as a driver of conflict and is supervised by Martijn Vlaskamp and Matthias vom Hau. After graduating from IBEI with a Master degree in International Relations in 2016, she worked as a Research Assistant at IBEI for Marta Iñiguez de Heredia’s project “Security Paradoxes in the Great Lakes: Between the Military-Capable and the Good-Governed State” and worked as a Project Manager for a local NGO in Tanzania.
