Biography

Cristiana Lavinia Badulescu is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at The National University for Political Studies and Public Administration from Bucharest working on a thesis on international peace mediation in protracted conflicts. She holds two Bachelor's degrees (law and humanities) and a MA in Political Science, specialization in conflict analysis and resolution. In 2012 she was a Visiting Research Scholar in Azerbaijan at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan researching on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh region. She has previously worked as a Research fellow at the Center for Conflict Prevention and Early Warning, an NGO based in Bucharest. Her research interests encompass conflict resolution of protracted armed conflicts, conflict management and mediation, peace processes, peace-making, reconciliation in the aftermath of civil war, peace-building.
