Caterina García Segura is a professor of International Relations at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). She holds a PhD in Political Science and Public Administration from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She is vice-dean of the UPF School of Political and Social Sciences and a member of the IBEI Scientific Committee and of the Casa Asia advisory board. She sits on the editorial boards of several professional journals, including Revista Española de Derecho Internacional, Revista Electrónica de Relaciones Internacionales, and Revista Tempo Exterior, as well as the editorial boards for the working papers of the International Catalan Institute for Peace (ICIP) and the IBEI. Her main research interests are the Theory of International Relations (IPE, world order, non-state actors, human security), East Asian Studies (regionalism, energy security, maritime conflict) and the analysis of Spanish, American and Japanese foreign policy.
