A Fiscal Union for the Eurozone?

Thursday March 7, 2013, from 16:00 to 18:00
Conference Room – Ground Floor IBEI
Conference
Jacques Le Cacheux (Sciences Po Paris / University of Pau)

The current fiscal rules and the ways in which the public debt crisis has been handled since the beginning of the Eurocrisis will not lead to a more stable eurozone, in fact they are major contributors to the current deep recession. The decisions regarding the EU budget are also going in the wrong direction. The lecture will explore the features and possible implications of a closer fiscal integration of euro zone members.
