David Fahrenkrug, University of Georgetown.

The goal of this presentation is to address the changes in conflict brought about by the growing use of information technologies. Specifically, I hope to address how the cyber impacts the way we protect individuals and secure the state.

David Fahrenkrug is director of strategic planning at the centre of analysis of the global security company Northrop Grumman, which studies defence policies, military threats and future trends in the military and security industry. In addition, he is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Georgetown University's Center for Security Studies (CSS), where he lectures on cyberwar. Fahrenkrug was a member of the United States Forces for 26 years, where he held, among other positions, the one responsible for the strategic analysis of war conflicts. He is an aeronautical engineer, a master's degree in Aeronautics from George Washington University and a PhD of Political Science specializing in International Relations from the University of Chicago.
