Barcelona Summer School in Global Politics, Development and Security
The summer school is taking place from 20 June to 1 July 2022.
The Barcelona Summer School in Global Politics, Development and Security is taking place in face to face format. Some courses will be offered in hybrid format (classes will run simultaneously face to face and online).
Delivery of Courses
Each 10-hour course will take place in two-hour sessions per day during one week. Each 6-hour course will take in two-hour sessions per day during three days or three-hour sessions per day during two days. Besides this schedule, there will be time planned for personal interactions with the professor where you can take the opportunity to comment your research or project with one of these prime academic figures of the International Relations field.
At the conclusion of the Summer School, participants will receive a certificate for the number of hours attended. All IBEI courses require an average of twice the lecture hours for readings, pre-readings and class preparation. Upon previous request, IBEI faculty can provide an assessment of the courses, and the grade obtained can be included into the certificate, in case students aim to transfer them into ECTS credits.
Participants have the opportunity to gain ECTS credits if they are recognized by their universities.
- 10 hour course: 2 credits = Complete the course + daily assignments / project work
- 6 hour course: 1 credit = Complete the course + daily assignments / project work
Minimum required: 3 ECTS credits. Participants have to enrol a minimum of 3 courses (6h) or 2 courses (6h+10h) to be able to gain ECTS credits.
