The Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) is actively seeking postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for a Beatriu de Pinós Fellowship. We are particularly interested in collaborating with candidates who possess a strong publication record and whose research aligns with one or more of our institute’s research areas: globalization and public policy, norms and rules in international politics, institutions, inequality, and development, security, conflict, and peace, and diversity and politics.
About the Beatriu de Pinós Fellowship
The Beatriu de Pinós programme, funded by the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR, Catalan Government), offers prestigious fellowships with a 3-year contract and research allowance. Applicants from any country are welcome, provided they obtained their doctoral degree between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2021 (extended to 2014 under certain circumstances). Additionally, applicants must have completed a postdoctoral stay/visit period outside Spain lasting at least two years at the time of joining the undertaking. Furthermore, they should not have resided or carried out their primary activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the three years immediately preceding the application deadline on March 5, 2024. Selected candidates will receive support from an IBEI professor and a research group to refine their proposals and prepare applications for submission to the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR, Catalan Government) by the deadline on March 5, 2024.
How to apply?
🖊️ Interested candidates should submit their expression of interest through the Application Form by February 12, 2024. It should include:
- Current CV.
- An initial draft of the research proposal intended for submission with BdP (3-5 pages max).
- Motivation letter identifying research synergies with IBEI faculty and research clusters (one-page max).
Results will be announced by February 15, 2024.
