Miquel Vila is a specialist in international relations and China politics. He studied at the University of Groningen, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Beijing's Foreign Studies University.

His main topics of interest are the impact of the rise China both domestically and in the international system. In the past few years, he has been researching on the Belt and Road project and its impact on China-EU relations. Along with that, he is also interested in China's tech sectors and the impact of its developments on the international level. He is also a frequent  contributor to different specialized media.  Miquel also works as a consultant.
