Biography
Kristian Herbolzheimer has been the director of the International Catalan Institute for Peace since September 2018. An agricultural technical engineer from the University of Lleida (1994), he has a diploma in Culture of Peace from the UAB’s School for a Culture of Peace (2001) and a Master in International Peacebuilding from the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies of the University of Notre Dame, in the United States (2009).
Kristian is an analyst of peace processes. He has advised and supported the peace processes in the Philippines, the Basque Country and Colombia.
Before the ICIP, he directed the Transitions to Peace Program at Conciliation Resources (2009-2018), a London-based NGO, and was program director at the UAB School for a Culture of Peace (2000-2007).
