Invitation to Submit Abstracts: IPSA RC27 SOG Workshop on Building Citizen Trust in Times of Crisis

We are excited to announce the upcoming IPSA RC27 SOG Workshop on Building Citizen Trust in Times of Crisis: Challenges and Opportunities for the Administrative State, to be held at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona on December 4–5, 2025.

In an era of global uncertainty—marked by challenges such as climate change, technological disruptions, and the erosion of democratic values—this workshop presents a timely opportunity to explore how public administration can rebuild and strengthen the trust between citizens and the state. We invite both theoretical and empirical contributions, with a special focus on comparative, interdisciplinary, and methodologically diverse research.

To support active participation, there are no registration fees, and ground expenses will be covered for all selected contributors.

Important Dates:

The workshop is convened by Jacint Jordana (UPF & Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals - IBEI) and Juan Carlos Triviño-Salazar (UPF), in collaboration with IPSA RC27 Structure and Organization of Government (SOG).
