Information for students

During the academic year 2021-2022, we expect most courses to be taught in classrooms from the beginning of the semester. As IBEI has small class sizes for most of its most core courses, seminars and electives, we foresee these being held on campus and face to face. A few courses will be taught exclusively online.

During the first month, all core courses in the masters’ programmes will be taught in hybrid format, meaning that students who are unable to arrive punctually due to travel restrictions or visa problems will be able to participate online through either Blackboard Collaborate or Zoom (depending on the course).

Students who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 before arriving in Barcelona will be able to receive a vaccination when they arrive in the city. We strongly encourage students to get fully vaccinated, and two of our partner universities, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, have opened walk-in vaccination points on specific days during the coming weeks. IBEI students only need to present their passports to receive their vaccination.

Following, you will find the details about the walk-in vaccination points:

UPF Ciutadella Campus

Where: Exhibition hall, Ciutadella campus
When: 21 & 22 September, 28 & 29 September and 5 & 6 October, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

IBEI fully complies with the stringent safety rules put in place by the Catalan government, including the obligatory wearing of face masks during all times while in the campus buildings, as well as maintaining social distancing and ventilation in classrooms.

You can access here to the COVID-19 Action Protocol for IBEI Students (Spanish and English). The purpose of this document is to serve as a guide for action in the face of suspicious or confirmed cases of COVID-19 among IBEI students, as well as to provide information about prevention measures to avoid contagion during their activities on campus, the action plan in the event of contagion, suspicion of contagion or isolation for students.
