Biography

Guillem Amatller is a PhD candidate at the department of Political and Social Sciences at the Universitat de Barcelona. In his dissertation he is analysing how technological change affects the capacity of states to carry out their functions.

Before he was a Predoctoral Fellow at the ERC project "States, Nationalism, and the Relationship between Ethnic Diversity and Public Goods Provision (ETHNICGOODS)", coordinated by Dr. Matthias vom Hau.

He holds a BA in Journalism and he worked in TV in La Sexta and other regional TV broadcast companies. He holds an MA Research in Political Sciences (2017-18) and Politics and Public Administration (2018-2019), in a double Master degree jointly taught by the UPF and the University of Konstanz. He did a research internship at the University of Konstanz, where he contributed to research in perceptions of inequalities.
