Call for papers | 8th Catalan Political Behavior & Public Opinion Workshop
After successfully resuming the yearly Conference on Political Behavior and Public Opinion in 2024, we are happy to call for abstracts for the 8th edition of these academic sessions, to be held on November 6th, 2025, at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI).
As in previous editions, the goal of the workshop is to foster interaction and collaboration among researchers from Catalan universities working on topics related to empirical political science. Paper topics may address aspects of political behaviour, comparative politics, political economy, public policy, and, more broadly, any area related to empirical political science (quantitative or qualitative). Participation as a speaker is open to all levels of the academic career: doctoral students, post-docs, professors, etc are welcome to apply. The call is open to researchers across the world, however, priority will be given to researchers in Catalan universities (including visiting researchers). The only requirement is to present a complete study/paper.

📅 Submission deadline: July 4, 2025
Abstracts (no longer than 300 words) should clearly and comprehensively describe the content of the paper, the methodology used, and, if possible, the main results. The format of the papers is open, but it is preferable that they do not exceed 8,000 words. The language of the conference will be English.
Registration for the conference as a speaker is free but implies a commitment to participate. Non-speaker registrations are also accepted. Discussants for each paper will be assigned among the registered participants.
