Vacancy: Research Assistant (SociAL-Reg project) - CLOSED

The Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) invites applications for a research assistant to work on the project “Regional Social Regulation in Latin America: A New Agenda for Development? Prospects and Challenges” (SociAL-Reg), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness.

Applicants must be in possession of a master’s degree or equivalent in a field such as political science, sociology or international relations and must be fluent in English and Spanish. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. In addition, strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills and an ability to contribute to collaborative research projects are essential.

The research assistant’s tasks will include literature reviews; data collection, preparation and analysis; preparation of interview materials and reports, together with other tasks related to overall project support.

This is a part-time position (with an estimated dedication of 20 hours/week) for nine months, starting on 2 April 2018 (flexible). Remuneration is equivalent to €729.87/month (gross).
