| The Welcome Day |
 |
| On that day, students had the possibility to mingle with their fellow students as well as with the professors of the programme, which gave them the opportunity to be informed about several academic and organisational aspects. After a general presentation of the IBEI, given by the Director of the Institut, the students took part in a simulation activity associated with the international relations field. During the afternoon session, the students were informed about more specific matters related to the Masters degree by means of a presentation organised by the IBEI Alumni, an organization that should be officially constituted within the next few weeks, which aims to promote the IBEI efforts on career development.
Students of the current academic year come from 27 different countries. Spain and the United States are the most popular countries, but there are also students coming from Germany, Barbados, China, Romania, Japan, Morocco, Korea, Cameroon, Venezuela, Argentina, etc. Also, this is the first year in which the IBEI welcomes students from the ERASMUS MUNDUS programme. And, six students will attend 2nd - year courses of the Masters programme.
Sixty out of the eighty students of the academic year 2008-09 will follow the Masters programme in a full-time basis, whereas the other twenty will complete the part-time modality.
