At the end of the course, once students have fulfilled the requirements established, they will be awarded the Master degree in International Relations. This is a joint degree awarded by the Universitat de Barcelona, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

In order to obtain this degree, students must fulfill a total of 60 credits. These are calculated according to the new European format ( ECTS ), by means of which both academic and research activities carried out by students are taken into consideration.

The total number of credits required to obtain the degree comprises:

• 30 credits of basic subjects (compulsory).
• 20 credits to choose from a list of optional subjects offered in the program.
• 10 credits for the guided research project, dealing with the chosen specialization framework.
