GRANTS

There is a wide array of financial aid resources available for students who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree. IBEI advises applicants to research all available financing options well in advance of submitting an application. Most of the funding sources have strict deadlines, often several months before your course formally starts.

The information on grants and loans presented here is subject to change and by no means comprehensive.

Erasmus Mundus

In 2006, the IBEI Master in International Relations obtained the acknowledgement as Erasmus Mundus Master. It is operated by a consortium of four European partner universities: the Central European University in Budapest (Hungary), the Institute for Social Studies in The Hague (Netherlands) and the University of York (UK) and IBEI. The “Erasmus Mundus Masters Program in Public Policy” (Mundus MAPP) lasts two years. The first or foundation year is spent either at the Institute of Social Studies or at the University of York. Students then move for a second academic year either at the Central European University or IBEI. The programme includes as well a summer school and an optional internship. At the end of their studies, Mundus MAPP graduates receive double degrees (two MA degrees) as well as a diploma supplement.

Students who wish to be considered for an Erasmus Mundus MAPP scholarship are required to send their complete application packages to the Central European University by 4 January 2008.
